We’re very happy to announce we will be having two entirely different classes for you this February. In both classes, your class cost covers ALL materials for your project. You also get a 15% discount on the day of the class. This discount applies to products from Dixie Belle, Redesign with Prima, Prima Marketing Inc, and Peter Pauper Press. All classes start at 11 AM and your seat must be reserved either by email (Tchotchkesforme@gmail.com), text or voice mail (504-575-4434).
Our first class takes place on February First and will cost $35.00. You will have your choice of project for this class.
Your first choice is Heidi the Highland Cow. It is made up of 3 laser cut pieces. You can paint or use Dixie Shine to personalize them putting them together to make an adorable cow.
Your second choice is a set of 3 filigree laser cut wood hearts. You can paint them or use Dixie Shine to make a beautiful collection of standing hearts.
Our second class of the month will be on February 22nd. It will be our Furniture 101 class. The class will cost $50.00. You must bring a piece you can carry by yourself. Bring something like a small table. If you have a larger piece you want to work on at home, bring a drawer or door from the piece. This class covers the basics of furniture art. It includes instruction on cleaning and preparation of your piece. You’ll also learn paint or stain color choice and painting and staining techniques. Finally, you’ll learn how to seal and care for your piece. This is a long class. We will be breaking for lunch at The Cherry Laurel restaurant. Students are responsible for their own lunch. Come and have a great time. Learn how to make any piece of furniture a reflection of your taste and style.
